Your fears are attracting everything you need to produce what you fear in your life. In the next chapter, we will discuss how to get over those fears, but for now, I want you to be aware. They are producing. You need to get rid of every fear you have. If you fear your business will go under, it will. But if you have a sense of confidence inside of you, you begin to attract the people and the ideas you need. This does not mean that your business is guaranteed to work, but it means that in the course of time, it seems like all of a sudden, you will have attracted the resources and the ideas you needed to catapult one of your businesses into success. It may be your first. It might be your seventh. But that confidence will bring success.

We believe life will be great once we have no problems. Billionaires know that problems are what make life so great. Problems are where millions are made. We ignore problems. Billionaires conquer them. We try to get away from problems. Billionaires go after problems. We want a problem-free life. Billionaires know that problems are what life is about. Until we begin to think like billionaires concerning problems, we will never reach the billionaire point in our lives.

attack problems in a different way. The stress and fear and anxiety that weighed you down in the past will disappear as you partner with God to solve problems in your life. If you want to move to the next level, you have to become a problem solver, not a problem avoider. How successful you become in life is based on how you handle problems.

Life is about winning and losing. It is about competition. If you don’t learn that, then you will never become a problem solver. I can teach my child more through one loss than he would learn in a lifetime of being the same as everyone else. I want him to learn the importance of perseverance, of not giving up. I want him to learn that he can face adversity and overcome it. I want him to work at his skills until he becomes the absolute best that he can be. I want him to learn that he can handle the pressure because if he is going to be successful in life, he will have to face pressure and overcome it.

If you give any human on the planet enough time, he will be able to solve any problem.

This truth changed my life. A solution to a problem is usually just five minutes of thought away. A good solution to a problem is just five minutes away. A great solution is just five more minutes away. Many billionaires owe their success to all those times they took fifteen minutes to solve the unsolvable problem. On your commitment form, write down that you are committed to giving fifteen minutes of thought concerning all problems in your life.

When you lack confidence, it binds your ability to solve problems. It is interesting that research has shown that people usually give up on a problem right before they are presented with the solution. In counseling, I often see people give up on their marriage right before it is ready to turn around and get good. The darkest part of the night is right before the sun comes up.

You have to believe that you can do it. My dad taught me at an early age that whatever you think you can do is exactly what you will do. And whatever you think you cannot do is exactly what you will not do. If a problem presents itself to you and you believe that you will not be able to solve it, then you won’t solve it.

If you do not have confidence to overcome inside of you, then you need to get some self-esteem books and teachings and read and listen until you have confidence in you. That is the first problem you need to overcome.

Your mind is an amazing thing. You can focus your thoughts anywhere that you want them. If you focus on something right before you go to sleep, your mind will work on the problem all night. Instead of just worrying about things as you drift off to sleep, try focusing on solutions. You will be amazed how many times you wake up with the answer. Your mind worked on it all night.

Learn from the past but don’t let it hold you back from trying again. Keep trying until you get it right. That is the essence of problem solving.

The billionaires realize that time is your seed. You plant seeds throughout your day based on how you use your time and in the future you will get the harvest from those seeds.

But as he is dozing off to sleep, rather than think of mindless things, he focuses on a problem. It is amazing how many times I have gone to sleep thinking of a problem. My mind worked all night long and when I got up, I had a solution.

Jesus said if something doesn’t work, doesn’t produce, then cut it down. It’s time to cut that thinking down.

love this quote. “Be careful of thoughts, they become words; careful of words, they become actions; careful of actions, they become habits; careful of habits, they become character; careful of character, it becomes your destiny.” Your character determines the level of your life. Psalm 92:12 says those that have good character flourish.

Jesus said, “Let me sum up what life is all about, it is about loving God, loving others, and loving yourself.”

This means you have to have positive thoughts. The Bible says to capture any thought that is negative. I like the word “capture,” it is aggressive. You should get mad at any thought of can’t. It then says to make that thought obedient to the Word of God. You make it obey. You force it to line up. You have a thought that says you can’t, you make it say you can. You have a thought that says you’re not smart enough, you make it remember that you have the mind of Christ.

Don’t allow your mind to think even one thought that is negative.

A wealthy man once told me that every thought was like a seed. My seeds will make up my garden of life. His question was then, what type of garden are you planting? That changed my life. I wanted a flourishing garden. I don’t want one single weed of negativity in there. If you ever had a garden, you know how one weed can spread and cause havoc in your garden. Just one negative thought, just one thought about the past failures can hinder your garden.
